Antonomasia adalah istilah dalam bahasa Indonesia yang merujuk pada jenis majas. Majas ini termasuk ke dalam majas perbandingan yang menyebutkan sesuatu bukan dengan nama asli dari benda tersebut, melainkan dari salah satu sifat benda tersebut.Penggunaan sifat sebagai nama diri atau nama diri lain sebagai nama jenis.
