Ketika itu pengaruh kelompok The Beatles dari England telah menciptakan irama pop yeh-yeh dari 1965 hingga 1971. Istilah "pop yeh-yeh" telah diambil dari judul lagu The Beatles, (She Loves You - Yeh, Yeh, Yeh). Penyanyi pada zaman 1960-an biasanya diikuti dengan grup Kugiran.

A. Dayang sering tampil dengan diiringi oleh grup The Familys.
